Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
  

  • 4 15oz can peaches in own juice or 4 cups fresh peaches pealed and sliced
  • 1/2 cup butter (one stick)
  • 1 cup AP flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt (pinch)
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Peaches

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp Wakins Carmel flavoring secret ingredient

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
    put peaches in pot add butter, both sugars, pinch salt. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 3-5 min add vanilla and caramel stir and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg stir and remove from heat and set aside to cool.
    Melt 1 stick of butter in a 9×13 pan in the oven.
    In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
    Take out the pan with the melted butter and pour the batter mixture over it making sure it spreads mostly evenly. DO NOT stir the batter into the butter.
    Spoon peaches (with the juice) over it. Do not mix. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired.
    Bake for 38-44 minutes.
